Data protection information for applicants

We are pleased that you are interested in us and are applying for a position in our company. In the following, we would like to provide you with information on the processing of your personal data in connection with the application.

What data will be processed and stored by us from you:

We store your personal data for as long as is necessary to make a decision about your application. If an employment relationship between you and us does not materialize, we may continue to store the data for up to six months beyond that, insofar as this is necessary to defend possible legal claims. Deletion can take place at the earliest two months after the rejection of your application if you request us to do so.

If you do not submit a deletion request and have agreed to be included in the applicant pool, the application documents will be deleted 24 months after notification of the rejection decision, unless you request deletion beforehand. Further storage takes place in order to enable you to be included in an applicant pool. If another position is available even after a rejection, you will be contacted from the applicant pool.

What data do we process and for what purpose:

We process the data you send us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or other positions in the company, if applicable) and to conduct an application process. Furthermore, we store your data in order to give you another chance by creating an applicant pool.

What rights do you have:

As an applicant, you have the following data protection rights depending on the situation in the individual case, which you can contact us or our data protection officer at any time to exercise.

  • You have the right to obtain information about your personal data processed by us, as well as to request access to and/or copies of your personal data. This includes information about the purpose of the use, the category of data used, its recipients and authorized access persons, and, if possible, the planned duration of data storage or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining this duration.
  • You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate personal data concerning you without undue delay. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you have the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data - also by means of a supplemented statement.
  • Insofar as the processing of personal data concerning you is based on Art. 6 DSGVO, you have the right to object to the processing of this data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process this personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
  • If the processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the withdrawal. To do this, you can contact us or our data protection officer at any time using the data listed below.
  • You have the right to have personal data concerning you deleted without undue delay, and we are obliged to delete personal data without undue delay if one of the following reasons applies:
  • The personal data is not necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed on your behalf.
  • You object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for processing.
  • The personal data have been processed unlawfully
  • The erasure of the personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation under Union law or the law of the member states to which we are subject.

On what legal basis is this based:

The primary legal basis for the processing of your personal data in the application process is Section 26 BDSG. According to this, the processing of data, required in connection with the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship, is permissible.

To whom is the data passed on:

We use the data for the application process of a specialized software provider. This provider acts as a service provider for us and may also become aware of your personal data in connection with the maintenance and servicing of the system. We have concluded an order processing agreement with this provider, which ensures that the data processing is carried out in a permissible manner. Your application data will be viewed by the HR department after receipt of your application. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the department managers for the respective open position. The further procedure is then coordinated there. In principle, only those persons in the company have access to data who are required for the proper conduct of an application procedure.

Where is your data processed:

Your data is processed exclusively in data centers in the Federal Republic of Germany.
